Pay Rate: £24.21 – £31 Per Hour – Negotiable

The working hours for this role are 09:00 – 17:00, 36 hours per week.

About the role:
As a children’s support social worker you will be required to undertake interviews, observation and collect information from children, families and other agencies, as well as analysing and evaluating the information gathered to provide an all-inclusive assessment of a young person’s requirements. You must be able to work closely with the therapist assigned to the Social Work Unit and take on board any advice and implement clinical interventions with children and their families. The successful Children’s Social Worker will be able to communicate effectively with children and their families, and establish rapport plus build a trusted relationship with children and their families. The role includes undertaking concise and systematic form F assessments, participating in the recruitment of new foster carers and in the delivery of the foster carers preparation group. You must have confidence in presenting assessments to fostering care panels, holding a caseload of foster carers, supervising and supporting foster cares and completing annual reviews.

Person Specification:
Must be:

  • HCPC Registered,
  • Recognised Social Work Qualification,
  • SWE Registered.
